Updates from the MANRS+ Working Group

gears

The MANRS+ Working Group is excited to share the latest developments in its efforts to explore a second, elevated tier of MANRS participation for organizations that comply with more stringent requirements and auditing. The working group is tasked with developing the requirements for MANRS+.

Introducing the Latest Version of the Control Matrix

One of the cornerstones of MANRS+ is the Control Matrix, a structured framework that defines specific security controls that an enterprise should expect from their connectivity providers. This latest version incorporates valuable community feedback and refines the audit requirements to improve clarity and feasibility. The Control Matrix serves as a guide for organizations looking to assess and enhance their routing security practices in alignment with MANRS principles, especially in the context of provider-customer relationships.

Presentation on MANRS+ Progress

To provide further insight into our work, a new presentation outlines the business case for routing security, the evolution of the MANRS+ work, and how organizations can engage with this effort. The presentation works as a perfect summary and introduction to the work of MANRS+. If you would like to have a deeper description of it, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

MANRS+ Self-Assessment Survey

We’ve also launched the MANRS+ Self-Assessment Survey, a 22-question tool designed to help organizations evaluate their readiness to meet MANRS+ requirements. The survey is structured to serve two primary goals:

  1. Assessing the clarity and feasibility of audit requirements – By participating in the survey, organizations can help us refine the Control Matrix by identifying any areas that may need further clarification or adjustment.
  2. Evaluating organizational readiness – The survey provides a useful self-assessment for organizations to determine how well they align with MANRS+ controls and where they may need to improve.

Get Involved

We encourage you to review the new Control Matrix, explore the presentation, and take the self-assessment survey. Your feedback is crucial in ensuring that MANRS+ remains practical, effective, and aligned with the needs of the global networking community.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue refining MANRS+ and working toward a more secure and resilient global routing ecosystem.
