Approved: MANRS Development Process

Earlier this year, we introduced the MANRS Development Process (MDP) to ensure that changes to the MANRS initiative are guided by a structured, transparent, and inclusive approach. This process was designed to provide clarity on how MANRS evolves, ensuring that all stakeholders have a voice in shaping the initiative. It also establishes a document series, providing stable references to MANRS specifications – from normative requirements, such as MANRS Actions, to informational documents, such as Implementation Guides.
After a period of open discussion and refinement, the MANRS Development Process has now completed its last call and been formally ratified by the MANRS Steering Committee. This marks a major milestone in our efforts to build a stronger, more resilient global routing security framework.
Looking ahead, the Steering Committee will use this process to review and update the MANRS Charter and the Actions for each program. This heightened level of document control will ensure transparency, consistency, and traceability throughout a document’s lifetime, from creation to revision to deletion.
Just as we worked together to establish the MDP, we encourage the entire community to stay engaged in these upcoming discussions. Your input is essential in making MANRS more effective and impactful.

We urge everyone to participate by providing feedback on future proposals. Your insights help steer MANRS in the right direction as we continue strengthening routing security worldwide.
Stay involved, share your perspectives, and help shape the future of MANRS!
