Implementation of MANRS Actions
- Action 1: Prevent propagation of incorrect routing information All customer BGP sessions are protected by prefix-lists generated manually and checked against AS-SET in RIPE db.
- Action 2: Prevent traffic with spoofed source IP addresses We prevent spoofed IP addresses from our stub networks by way of layer-3 filters implemented on the switchport for the customer.
- Action 3: Facilitate global operational communication and coordination Our routing/network information is kept up-to-date in peeringdb. We are also contactable via the contact information on our main website, staff who answer general calls are technically minded and able to handle all issues.
- Action 4: Facilitate validation of routing information on a global scale Our routing information (and policy) is published in peeringdb. It is also present in our AS25376 RIPE object. We maintain our RIPE objects constantly (e.g. AS25376:PRNG-LINX-J with our peers) so this information is up-to-date. We also publish our BGP community list.
Why Netnorth Limited Supports MANRS
After a great presentation at LINX102 by MANRS, we were very interested to join MANRS and join a community of like-minded networks committed to improving the global internet.
