Implementation of MANRS Actions

  • Action 1: Prevent propagation of incorrect routing information Earth Telecommunication has taken significant measures to ensure the implementation of Action 1. We have deployed robust filtering mechanisms based on prefix-lists and route-filters at customer peering points. These filters ensure that only validated and substantial prefixes are acknowledged within our network and propagated to our upstream peers. Before activating any customer peering, we conduct a thorough verification of the routing information provided by the customer. We require customers to register or update their routing objects in the APNIC database to ensure accuracy and accountability.Additionally, we leverage shared global resources such as the RPKI/ROA and the IRR database for validation. These steps ensure that our routing announcements adhere to the highest standards of security and operational best practices, aligning with the MANRS commitment to improving the global routing ecosystem.
  • Action 3: Facilitate global operational communication and coordination Earth Telecommunication ensures effective coordination to enhance routing security as part of Action 3. We actively collaborate with peers, upstream providers, and customers to address routing incidents promptly and efficiently. Our team maintains updated contact information in APNIC and PeeringDB, allowing stakeholders to reach us quickly when needed. For any network-related issues, our NOC can be contacted at [email protected], and for abuse-related concerns, our abuse team is available at [email protected] proactively guide customers on routing policies, filtering requirements, and the importance of maintaining accurate records in RIR databases. Additionally, we are working to implement BGP tools and RPKI validators to detect anomalies. By engaging in community initiatives like APNIC conferences and NOG forums, we stay informed and contribute to global efforts to improve routing security and resilience.
  • Action 4: Facilitate validation of routing information on a global scale Earth Telecommunication has publicly documented its routing policy, ASN, and prefixes in the RIPE database using the RPSL format. This documentation ensures transparency and facilitates effective coordination with peers, customers, and upstream providers. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the IRR database, Earth Telecommunication enables network operators to verify our routing announcements, ensuring compliance with global best practices for routing security and stability.
